Hue Feb 18-19

We pass the Marble Mountains on the way to Hue, so named because they're mountains made out of marble. The mountains are surrounded by shops selling items made from the marble quarried from the mountains. We stop for lunch at a beach resort town and by 6pm we are in Hue. We dont have to do the find a room routine as I get off at each hotel the bus stops at to pick up passengers going to Hanoi and ask for a room and on the 2nd try find one. We spend the night watching the winter olympics and eating at a restaurant across the street. Its great fun explaining the different events to Jett and as always he is insatiably curious. He has also been fantastic with his injuries, and my grumpiness.

I walk to the train station in the morning to buy tickets to Hanoi for the next day and after looking at all the departure times decide to leave Hue that night as it is raining and there is not that much to do. Walk back to room, get Jett, walk to the markets for breakfast and then to the ruined palace. We skype/type with Joy and Beck for almost 2 hours before catching the train to Hanoi.
